Roger Ferguson is the Chief Marketing Officer of the V Foundation. In this role, Roger is the executive leader responsible for strategic stewardship of the V Foundation’s multi-channel marketing efforts; including, peer-to-peer community events and experiential marketing, direct marketing, website and digital marketing, strategic corporate partnerships, and Brand communications. As a visionary leader, he’s responsible for translating the Foundation’s audacious research grant objectives into a long-term integrated marketing plan to catalyze donor growth and support of the Foundation’s mission in the short-term, while evolving & building a world-class brand to sustain future growth.
Roger brings 30+ years of marketing experience in sponsorships, experiential marketing, advertising, media strategy, direct marketing and brand management to the V Foundation. Prior to joining the V Foundation, Roger was an executive at Capital One for 23 years, where he was an original architect of many of Capital One’s famous “What’s In Your Wallet?” advertising and media campaigns, as well as their nationally recognized sponsorships/partnerships with the NCAA, Capital One Orange Bowl, I Heart Media, Taylor Swift, and MLB to name a few.
Roger holds a BS in Marketing from George Mason University, and lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife of 30 years, Kathy. He has two daughters, Haley and Molly, and he enjoys golfing, working out, and cheering for the Washington Capitals and Nationals. When not on land, Roger can be found underwater scuba diving, and he holds a few advanced certifications, including Rescue Diver and Nitrox certifications.
