Ask them to purchase a V Foundation license plate when registering their vehicles.
Have a V Foundation license plate?
Be sure to renew it during your renewal month.
What will my impact be?
In North Carolina, the plate fee is $25. A $10 special fee is charged for a Special Plate account in addition to the regular license fee. Of these fees, $15 is returned to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
How to Purchase or Renew Your V Foundation License Plate
If your vehicle is already registered in North Carolina and you want to switch over to the V Foundation specialty license plate when you renew, follow the steps below.
If you can renew/purchase online:
Select Order a Custom Plate and continue to myNCDMV Services to get started. You will then be able to select the V Foundation (MVR-27JV) in the online portal.
If you can’t renew/purchase online:
You can make the switch by visiting your local DMV office and filling out the V Foundation (MVR-27JV) form.
