Partner since 2023
In July 2023, the National Hockey League (NHL), the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the V Foundation announced a groundbreaking new partnership on the Hockey Fights Cancer initiative with a goal of dramatically accelerating fundraising for cancer research.
In our first year together, throughout the 2023-2024 season, more than $2.9 million was raised for cancer research through Hockey Fights Cancer powered by the V Foundation.
Hockey Fights Cancer was founded in 1998 by the NHL and NHLPA to unite the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families. The NHL has led the way as the first major sports league to pioneer a national cause program.
