Clark Kinlin

Retired EVP

Clark Kinlin served as member of Corning’s Management Committee and as President of Corning Optical Communications, the company’s largest operating unit. Over his 40-year career, he  led operations to sustainable growth in highly competitive technology and consumer businesses while adeptly navigating cultural differences in the world’s most challenging markets. He leverages 20 years of board experience, serving as an influential voice who drives consensus in growth strategy, governance, and innovation.

A recognized global leader in the telecom, optical communications, and technology sectors with extensive in-country leadership experience in Asia, he  repeatedly restored complex operating divisions to growth and profitability by leveraging innovation, executing significant restructurings, securing accretive acquisitions, and building successful global leadership teams.

Kinlin holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. An advisor to technology companies, Kinlin is also a member of the Ennion Society of the Corning Museum of Glass.
