Stuart A. Taylor II is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Taylor Group, a private equity firm that builds and acquires businesses in partnerships with high potential entrepreneurs. Since 2002, The Taylor Group has invested in 10 companies in industries such as healthcare, technology, business services and education.
Prior to forming The Taylor Group in 2001, Taylor spent 19 years on Wall Street at firms including Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley. While on Wall Street, his focus was corporate finance as well as mergers and acquisitions in sectors including transportation, capital goods and consumer products.
He serves on the Boards of Directors of Ball Corporation, Hillenbrand Inc. and United Stationers. Taylor is also on the Board of Youth Guidance, a Chicago-based organization that focuses on improving the plight of at-risk public school children. At Youth Guidance, he is Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee of the nationally acclaimed “Becoming a Man” (B.A.M.) program.
