Jim Valvano, the legendary NC State coach, led his underdog team to an improbable NCAA Championship victory in 1983. After his career as a celebrated coach, Jim then became a Sportscaster for ESPN. His infectious enthusiasm, passion for the game, and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity have cemented his place in basketball history. But, his greatest accomplishment may be founding the V Foundation for Cancer Research. Now, his legacy will live forever in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
